What is the best way to get rid of head lice?
Our Go Away Lice – Natural head lice treatment bar and kit is the best way to get rid of head lice and keep them away. Most head lice medications and treatments involve the use of medicines that kill lice (pediculicides) but they don’t have an ovicidal effect of killing the eggs. If they do, then the very common use of insecticides and/or drugs in these medications, whether “over the counter” or “prescription” medications can be toxic to babies, children and adults, especially if they are over-used or not used strictly in accordance with the directions on the label. In addition, as time has gone on, we now have head lice that have developed a resistance to these products – hence the new term “super lice”.
The reasons why Go Away Lice is the best way to get rid of head lice are:-
1. The lice shampoo bar contains only natural ingredients;
2. It is non-toxic;
3. Go Away Lice kills both the head lice and their eggs.
4. This head lice treatment can also be used as a normal hair shampoo and if used daily, will help avoid re-infestation.
5. The Go Away Lice Shampoo Bar is very cost effective as the lice shampoo bar lasts as long as 3 bottles of normal hair shampoo.
Can head lice live on pillows or sheets?
Head lice can only live on pillows or sheets for 1 to 2 days if there is no human host coming into contact with the bedding over this period. Lice are bloodsuckers and need to have blood meals several times a day. If head lice fall onto the pillows or sheets of an infected person and then someone else, within 1-2 days, rests their head on those same pillows or bedding then that person may well contract head lice themselves.
Do you need to wash bedding if you have head lice?
Yes, if head lice have been present on the bedding within the last 2 days then you do need to wash the bedding in hot water for at least 5 minutes. This will kill the louse provided the temperature of the water is 54°C or 130°F or hotter. You can do this by machine washing using the normal hot water cycles.
The second step is to then place these washed items in a hot dryer for 15-20 minutes.
Note: If there are any items that can’t be machine washed because they’re too large for example, throw them in a plastic bag (airtight) and leave them there for 2 weeks.
Do you need to clean your house after head lice?
No, you probably don’t need to clean your entire house after head lice. Head lice or louse are parasites that cannot survive for more than 2 days if they can’t feed off a human host.
